Community & Development

Rural electric cooperatives were formed to power communities and empower members to improve their quality of life—a purpose that continues to evolve with member needs. Providing affordable, safe, and reliable power remains at the core of electric cooperative operations in Iowa, but co-ops also offer the power to deliver other economic and community development opportunities. Members can use their local cooperatives to enact change.

Woodbury County REC is committed to the development of western Iowa. We offer programs to the communities of Woodbury County to assist with business start-ups, expansions, and community projects. We also provide scholarships to area youth and programs that help members help fellow members, when time gets tough.

Powering Woodbury County and empowering the people who live here. We are proud to live and serve alongside you.
