Energy Audit

Woodbury County Rural Electric Cooperative provides energy audits for our customers at no charge. 

During an audit of a residence, the energy auditor will evaluate the homes insulation value, caulking and weather stripping, attic ventilation, and inspect windows to determine if replacements are needed.  Also included in the audit will be a general walk around of the home with the owner to point out areas that may need attention.

Commercial energy audits will include much the same inspection as the residential with additional detail spent on the energy using equipment in the business. 

Residential audits will be performed by Woodbury County REC personnel with over 40 years of combined energy audit experience.  Commercial audits will be conducted by an outside contractor, hired by Woodbury County REC, who has more experience in the commercial side of energy use.
