We are pleased to share with you the details of an exciting community service program we are offering called Operation Round Up.
Simply stated, Operation Round Up gathers voluntary contributions from participating REC members by “rounding up” their monthly bills to the next dollar. This would result in an average donation of six dollars ($6) per year, which would be distributed to worthy local causes. That is small change indeed to help local fire departments, ambulance squads, food banks, and other non-profit organizations. Not one penny of the Operation Round Up funds would go to political parties or candidates or to for-profit businesses or organizations.
If you choose to participate, your electric bill will be “rounded up” to the next highest dollar each month. For example, if your electric bill is $52.71, an additional balance of 29 cents will be added making your bill an even $53. Your donation for any month may be a little as a penny or as much as 99 cents. The average donation is $6 per year (or 50 cents a month). Rounding your monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar will help fund worthwhile projects in your community. Fill out the form and mail it in today!
